But then I realized, love is not a noun, it's actually a verb.

FEATHERS

In Summer, you can play on shape or colors for your ensemble, but better playing it cool sometimes with prints!

FLAWS

I'm lack of many things, it's a fact that I, myself, could not deny. And there are simply too many to mention up here, but as a blogger, I've got two things that I'm really, really bad at (or so I thought I have) and I'm about to share.

IT CHANGES

Hey again! I feel so bad to abandon my blog for a month (unintentional, though). I've been missing out so many good things in blogsphere lately, especially the updates from Fashion Weeks directly from the feeds of bloggers that I followed. Well, this all happened mainly because I had crazily hectic weeks in March. And yes, I am staring at you, essays! But for now, the nagging could wait because I don't want to shush you away......

INTERLUDE 2.0

Leather Jacket (Baleno), Maroon Shirt (Rown Division), Vest (Thrifted), Pants (EASY), Sneakers (Nike)

So here are some outfit photos taken in Summer Palace. On previous post, I did say that my layering was too light, didn't I? I only got leather jacket for the outerwear with shirt and unseen vest underneath which led me to having backache from trembling too much and jaw-ache for chattering nonstop! To make the story short, the day before I went to Summer Palace, I wore this leather jacket as well which actually was enough to fight with the cold. The thing is I forgot that I paired it up with my thick hoodie from Uniqlo (you can see the outfit I'm talking about on my Chapter VI: The Forbidden City post). By the time I was freezing to death, there was no way for me to go back to the hotel because it took at least an half hour, so yup I tried my best to stay strong there! Ha.

PRELUDE

Jacket (Baleno),  Backpack (Planet Ocean), Pants (Celcius), Shoes (Nike), Scarf (Thrifted)

好久不见!(Long time no see!) I've been a very bad blogger for abandoning my blog for two months. It's just these past two months I've been super busy with school's stuffs such as assignments and finals. I got no time for doing anything but reading those Chinese characters and memorizing them which almost got my brain burnt to ashes. Thankfully, I finished the finals in January and got a break for a week before my ten-days trip to Shanghai and Beijing, which is the very reason I came back! Yup, I'm about to share the trip with you, but it will be in many parts because I've got one thousand photos from the trip and I still have to choose the best ones to put in here. And as you can see from the title of this post, it will be the beginning of the many trip diary posts.

Ten days of travel in Shanghai and Beijing, I didn't take many outfit photos (none in Beijing, sigh) because of some problems. But thankfully in Shanghai, I've got two (or three, hopefully) outfits captured although not in the very professional way. At least, they are presentable to put in here, lol. Talking about the trip, it was an experience that I won't change for the world. I got the chance to go to places that many people don't have the chance to go to, and I have to say that I am forever grateful! Although I found some troubles here and there along the trip, but most important is I enjoyed every second of it.

THAT'S CHRISTMAS TO ME

Leather Jacket (Baleno), Shirt (Thrifted), Knitted Sweater (SPAO), Vintage Backpack (Planet Ocean), Pants (Celcius), Shoes (Nike)

Although Christmas had just passed, but the joy it brought is still clearly floating in the air as the songs about Christ's birth are playing over and over again everywhere. It is indeed the most beautiful time of the year because who can deny how joyful Christmas it is? Here in China is not an exception. People celebrated Christmas a little bit differently, which means they (or most of the population) didn't celebrate it by gathering with the family in front of the fireplace or dinner table, but by shopping 'till their wallet turned into paper because the discounts here were crazy, no no scratch that, I mean insane, all only for Christmas celebration! I almost lost myself in the ocean of % sign in every store I laid my eyes on, but thank God I didn't.

Not buying things nor getting any presents doesn't mean I didn't get the joy of Christmas because it isn't always about things or presents, but I found my joy in more simple way. Finding this super beautiful, tall Christmas tree surrounded by these Garfield miniatures, not to say the cute ones, is my simple Christmas joy. Even though I'm thousand miles away from my source of joy (yup, family and close friends!), but at least God gives me another (simple ones) source of joy in this year's Christmas and I'm forever grateful for that. Wasting no time to squeal over how cute these miniatures were, I snapped some photos (including my outfit, of course). All photos were taken right after I went back from church lol. So, mind sharing your joyful Christmas? ;)

ONE WEEK AWAY

Photos by: Callista Miranda
Denim Jacket (Baleno), Shirt (ROWN DIVISION), Pants (Celcius)

Guess who's got himself a DIY Christmas tree (without a star, lol) in his room? Yup, me. Can't believe, the most beautiful and joyous time of the year is only one week away! Time does fly too fast that I think it was just yesterday I celebrated last year's Christmas with my family, and now I'm about to celebrate it again, but this time, alone and so far, far away from home. Although I have to celebrate Christmas alone this year, but I still get myself a present. And as present, I mean this light green denim jacket that I purchased few days ago in Baleno. Aside from its color being so Christmas-y, I also still don't have any piece in this color in my closet so I thought, why the hell not? I might need to be a little bit more creative in mix-and-matching this jacket with my other pieces, which I have to admit isn't an easy job, but for now let's just put the worry aside and be happy on Christmas! Anyway, have you got yourself a gift for Christmas?

AUTUMN IS LEAVING

Photos by: Callista Miranda

Denim Shirt - Thrifted, Sweater - Blackjack, Jacket - Baleno, Pants - Celcius, Sneakers -  Airwalk

As Autumn is leaving and temperature is dropping day by day, thick layerings are needed more than anything. When November started, wearing a sweater without anything underneath was more than fine because I actually enjoyed the cold back then. But now, after it hit 12 degrees in the afternoon, even the thickest sweater won't work. I have to put on another thick piece underneath the sweater to prevent the cold from coming in, and the thicker and the longer the sleeves are the better. Hence, the denim shirt buttoned all the way up. Now, do you think it's enough? Nope. If  I were in my room, yes it would. But the photos were clearly taken otside, so no it is not enough. I have to take my outerwear with me (in this case, my oversized jacket from Baleno) so that at least I have a source of warmth. If not, then my teeth won't stop cha..tter..ing. *insert sneeky grin*

COMPLAIN NOTHING

Leather Jacket - Baleno, Vest - Thrifted, Shirt - Thrifted, Pants - Celcius, Shoes - Nike Air Veer GS

I don't know whether it's already winter or not, but all I know for sure is the temperature, day by day, is getting lower and lower. I have to wear at least two or three layers of clothes to keep my body warm as I'm not used to the cold. I'm not only talking about outfits that I wear to an outing, but also about what I'm wearing in my bedroom. T-shirts and thin clothes are no longer in my to-wear lists. I even sleep in my thickest knitted sweater (totally not complaining!). However, I almost hate nothing about this cold weather simply because it allows me to wear my stocked-up-for-too-long-in-my-closet thick sweaters and jackets. The only problem I encounter every day is freezing feet and hands. But, if I could dress up fashionably like this every day and in every season without fear of sweating and feeling uncomfortable, then I'd complain nothing. Until next time!
