PARIS

Oh, sweet sweet Paris :)

February 26th was the day when I finally saw the real Eiffel Tower which I could never imagine seeing with my very own eyes. I mean, I do have plans to go there, but not this soon obviously. Well, I am totally not complaining, though. The sooner the better, right? *wink wink*

Anyway, my family and I were actually not planning on going to Paris. Initially, we planned to go straight to Tel Aviv, Israel. However, my uncle had an amazing idea to book a flight to Tel Aviv with a 12-hours layover in Paris. We were not even informed before, which made us quite confused as to why the flight to Tel Aviv was very very short. Well, it's the perks of being the organizer of the entire trip, right? You have the chance to surprise people during the trip, and my uncle did just that.

Arriving there, we went straight to the city centre and had a meal in Galeries Lafayette. The minute we walked in that amazing building, our eyes shone so bright. Bags, perfumes, shoes, clothes, you name it, they all have it. And no, not from the brand you never saw before. They were all brands you know and could not afford. Or some of you could, perhaps. However, the shine only lasted no longer than three minutes, because our tummy screamed as loud as our bank account would if we ever bought anything from those brands. We went straight to the elevator and headed to 6th floor where the canteen is located.

After finishing our delicious fish 'n chips, which we had with rice (well, we are Indonesians, what do you expect?), we continued our journey by city bus tour. For a short visit like mine, I really recommended this service because it basically brings you around the city (literally around the whole city) and  stops every 30 minutes at a tourist destination, such as Eiffel Tower, Notre Dome, Arc de Triomphe, Louvre, and many more. Additionally, it is a hop-on/hop-off service, so you can hop-off at your desired destination and hop-on to the next bus to continue the drive to the next destination. What's not to love? And you are welcome.

It could take one day to stop at every destination and if we did, we would miss our flight. Therefore, we only hopped-off at Eiffel tower (duh!) and walked around, took thousands (not kidding) of pictures here and there for an half hour before going back to the tour bus stop and continued our drive across Paris. In all honesty, the tour was worth every Euros. In total, we spent 130 Euros for 4 adults and a free ticket for kids under 3 year-old. It was actually a very good deal :)

P.S.: except Galeries Lafayette and Eiffel tower, all the photos were taken from a moving city tour bus' rooftop... Yeah, imagine being me, lol.
