PORTRAITS

The portraits of mine above were made out of boredom. Yes, they were unintentional and taken at different times. Some were taken when the days were so cold and rainy, and I really couldn't go out so I was stuck in my room. Some were taken when the sun being so painfully shiny and all I could wear was the thinnest tshirt. The others were taken in the middle of the night when insomnia wouldn't leave me alone. They are practically the fruits of my boredom.

Speaking of the portraits, it was so fun taking them all. Aside from killing my boredom, I also get to practice how to point my face to the right angle and make a good expression (which I failed miserably) so my face won't look weird. I have plenty of those photos that have my face looked worse than Spongebob's stupidest face ever seen on TV. That's why, I'm always mesmerized (and jealous) by those bloggers or models that could produce so many amazing pictures without being afraid of looking weird because they were born so photogenic. Damn, their genes.. and their photographers!

FLOWERS

Jacket - Levi's, Tshirt - Thrifted, Pants - Celcius, Shoes - Converse

Nothing much to say this time, I have to run some errands. Went out with bestfriends yesterday at D'Fleurs Lounge, new cafe in town, and catched up. The cafe was really beautiful, filled with different kind of flowers (of course, French's fleurs itself means flowers in English). The hangout, however, was simply crazy.. or was it my bestfriends? Don't know, don't care. At least I had fun. Wearing the most casual outfit one can wear since the weather was just cruel. I went with a stripes tshirt and threw on a jeans jacket to dodge the burning sun. Plus, casual isn't really casual without a pair of sneakers, so there you go. Have yourself a super casual outfit of mine. Cheers!

POSTCARDS FROM PUNTONDO

The crew.

Let's just all agree that I've been travelling and posting postcards a little bit too much. It's the perks of having three months long holiday, so don't bother to judge. After going to the amazing natural places in town (see here and here), this time, my adventure continued and I found myself having a good time in another natural site called Pusat Penelitian Lingkungan Hidup  Puntondo (Puntondo Enviroment Research Centre) which was 3 hours away from Makassar and located in Takalar, South Sulawesi. It was a very good place to hide yourself from the tiresome routines and find your inner peace since it's so natural, picturesque, and chilling. The mangroves which could be found along the shore was simply amazing. It was honestly my first time seeing it directly, and I must say it was so exciting.

However, we didn't get the chance to play in the water because the sun decided to play hide-and-seek with us, and not to mention the wind which practically blew everything that moved. Oh, and the waves weren't really friendly either *sigh. Nevertheless, it was still a very fun trip. I find myself loving the nature more as I've been captivated by its beauty in every single trip. Can't wait for the next trip (and outift posts, of course) to share with you guys, before I leave for China next month.

POSTCARDS FROM SAMALONA ISLAND

As I promised you on my previous post (here!) that I'd upload the postcards from the Island I visited with some friends few days ago, here are the photos I took. The island's called Samalona, a very beautiful island indeed, with the cloudless blue sky, flour-like white sands, and crystal-cleared water. The air was so fresh and the sun was just as bright as ever. It seemed that the island was our private property because literally no tourists were seen when we arrived. It felt so good that I wish I could stay there longer. I had the time of my life as I laid back on the water, letting the sun shine above me and hearing the sound of waves crashing down the shore. However, experiencing the excruciating pain courtesy of my burnt skin was simply a party pooper. It's then decided that the next time I go to to the sea, I'm so gonna bring a hoodie. I so don't care whether it's gonna make me look like a psycho or not. My skin also needs to have some attention, not torment.

50 SHADES OF BLUE

Aztec T-shirt - Thrifted, DIY Shorts - Cheap Monday

Nothing could do better to put me at ease from those stressful, boring routines I'm patheticly trapped but having fun with good friends in the water, enjoying the view of beatiful sea, and hearing the soothing sound of the waves crashing on the shore. To say that it was fun is an understatement. I can't help but wishing that I could spend some more time there than to do nothing but sulking over my life. No doubt, it is one of the moments that I fond of the most. Well, it's not everyday you can enjoy life to the fullest, is it? Especially when you can enjoy the fifty shades of blue, the color form of calmness.

The postcards from this beautiful Island will be coming soon after this post. See ya!
