POSTCARDS FROM RAMMANG-RAMMANG

So, remember what I told you guys on my last entry that I would not update so often anymore? Apparently, I did a great job at doing it since I never updated even once in a while and I’m deeply sorry for that. But today I so need to update about this journey earlier today that I experienced with three of my besties (Anastasia, Fransiske, and Tri) in Rammang-Rammang.

Rammang-rammang is a village which is located in Maros, South Sulawesi. It isn’t that far from Makassar, it took only about one to two hours. Actually, I didn't really remember who suggested us to go to this place before and I didn’t really expect much from this place at first since I’ve never been there before. But you know what? It turned out that it was like a mini heaven. Literally everything about it made my jaw drop to the ground. From its fresh air, green plants, creepy yet amazing cave, to its crystal-cleared blue sky. It was all so natural.

My favorite part about the journey was when I was taken to enjoy the river by boat. I just don’t know how to put it into words. I was completely drawn by the beauty of the plants and the valleys (as you can see it on the photos above) that could be seen as the boat took us around. Also, the sound which was produced by the water when it was crushed by our boat was just so soothing that it showered me contentment. It was one of the memories that I would cherish with all my heart, forever.
